The Kansas Department of Health and Environment recently awarded Finney County Health Department the John Snow Award for excellence in infectious disease reporting during the Southwest Kansas measles outbreak.

This award is named after John Snow, an English physician whose work helped shape modern epidemiology and public health investigation tools used today.

The award was given in appreciation of the hard work, efforts in disease investigation, communication, and response of the Finney County Health Department team. Way to go, team!

El KDHE otorgó recientemente al Departamento de Salud del Condado de Finney el premio John Snow, en reconocimiento a su excelencia en la notificación de enfermedades infecciosas durante el brote de sarampión en el suroeste de Kansas.

We are hiring an EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic to join Finney County EMS.

This is an opportunity to serve on a dedicated team providing emergency medical care to residents and visitors across Finney County. EMS providers respond to emergency calls, deliver critical patient care, and work closely with other first responders to ensure the best possible outcomes for those in need.

Finney County Commission meetings are held on the first and third Mondays of each month beginning at 8:30 a.m. Meetings are open to the public and are streamed live and recorded on Facebook and YouTube for convenient viewing anytime.

Meeting agendas, livestreams, and recordings can be found on Finney County’s official platforms.
