Marine Corps Recruiting Ridgewood

PFC Patrick graduated from Recruit Training this past Friday continuing the legacy of his older brother Corporal McCalla.

PFC Patrick went to recruit training as a Private and exceeded all of his platoon’s expectations. PFC Patrick persevered through every phase and earned the highest PFT/CFT scores combined for his platoon. He earned a very competitive position as the Series Guide which he carried the Guidon representing the two platoons of his company. These accomplishments lead Patrick to a Meritorious Promotion to Private First Class.

CPL McCalla held positions such as Squad Leader, Guide, Class Leader and Honor Graduate in MOS school setting a great example for his brother to follow.

Let’s wish PFC Patrick success as he continues his Marine Corps journey to MCT and Logistics Operations School!

📈 Marines on Wall Street 🔔

New York Marines and poolees had the rare opportunity of swearing their Oath of Enlistment at the New York Stock Exchange during the first opening bell ceremony of the new year!

Whether it’s in the economic heart of the world, or your local RSS, reciting the oath is a distinguished honor. Some of the greatest leaders of time, and times passed, have solemnly sworn the same oath — to protect and defend the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Protect & Reserve 🇺🇸🌎

Sgt. Matally, with 1st Marine Corps District Public Affairs, sat down with Cpl. Estrella, a Dominican-American, Manhattan-born, New York Police Department cop, and Marine Forces Reserve supply clerk currently serving as a Prior Service Recruiter with 1st Marine Corps District Headquarters, to reflect over his decision to join the Marine Forces Reserve. The Marine Forces Reserve, the largest command in the Corps, is the headquarters command for approximately 100,000 Reserve Marines that provide support to the Active Component, whether it be on the battlefield or in the office.
