We had a great turnout at Merrick’s Hands Off rally this past Saturday, where hundreds of protesters gathered to speak out against what they view as threats to our democratic ideals. It was a powerful reminder that when our rights are on the line, our communities rise up. These are the values we need our politicians to carry every day—on the campaign trail and in office.

A few weeks back, SPEAC hosted its annual talent show. SPEAC is a Special Advocacy Coalition dedicated to supporting individuals with special needs. It was a wonderful community event and a moving reminder of what real community looks like. Thank you to Ashley Gazes and the Oceanside JCC for hosting!
