Microchipping is a vital way of reconnecting families with their lost animals, and Comal County residents may have up to 4 pets microchipped FREE from June 1-June 30. Read all about it below ⬇️

Starting June 1st: Free Pet Microchipping at HSNBA!

Thanks to a generous grant from the Downtown Rotary Club of New Braunfels, the Humane Society of the New Braunfels Area will begin offering FREE microchips for pets of New Braunfels and Comal County residents starting June 1st!

Microchips help lost pets get home, and we are so excited to make this lifesaving service more accessible to our community.

Not sure if your pet is already microchipped? We can scan them for you at HSNBA and help you make sure the registration is up to date with your current information.

No appointment is needed. Residents can stop by HSNBA with their pets during open hours to have up to four pets microchipped for free.

Open Hours:
Monday-Friday: 10 AM to 5 PM
Saturday: 10 AM to 4 PM

In an effort to maintain the beauty the City of Garden Ridge enjoys from our numerous oak trees and to prevent and combat the spreading of destructive oak wilt, City Ordinance No. 71 prohibits trimming of oaks trees between February 1st and July 1st of each year.
