North Yellowstone Education Foundation

North Yellowstone Education Foundation To provide sustainable support for Gardiner Public Schools through multiple fundraising efforts. We value our small, rural community and what it has to offer.

Our mission is to work with the community to build sustainable support and enhance innovative educational opportunities for students, teachers and community members in partnership with Gardiner Public Schools. Our school has always been the hub, even for neighbors without children. The multi-purpose room, gymnasium, and ball fields are used publicly as a community center, performance venue and for

community sports. Innovative programming has enhanced our reputation across the state as offering an especially well-rounded, world-class education. As our community has changed significantly, we seek to establish partnerships that will allow the school building, our amazing staff, electives and extracurriculars to continue functioning at an exceptional level, keeping our students and community engaged while sensibly dealing with present and forthcoming budget shortfalls. Tax dollars support state minimums, but don’t always support the margin of excellence we’ve come to expect. The North Yellowstone Education Foundation vision is to provide sustainable support for Gardiner Public Schools through fundraising, volunteerism, and community collaboration. We support Gardiner Public Schools as a community learning center, offering world-class educational opportunities while maintaining the values and uniqueness of our community.

We are looking for a few volunteers to help us review cycle 3 Connect! Grants. Connect! Grants are our local grant requests by Gardiner Teachers. They request funds for activities that the school budget cannot afford but will enhance our students' educational experiences.

We have four grants to review, and it should only take 1 - 2 hours of your time. If you can help us with this process, please complete our Doodle Poll at https://doodle.com/group-poll/participate/b6xjE6Le

National Literacy Month helped us raise awareness about the importance of getting kids to read. Rural schools have small budgets, but thanks to some great donors, we were able to build our elementary library at Gardiner Public Schools. A special shout-out to Lisa Culpepper, Scott Brovsky, Dorothy, Erin, Betty Barger, and Anthony & Gabriella Zlaket for helping us build our elementary library with the 2026 Newbery and Caldecott winners.

NYEF & Gardiner Public Schools are excited to expand our garden and invite the community to get involved! The Gardiner School-Community Garden will serve as a collaborative outdoor space where students, teachers, and community members can learn about and grow their own food. If you're interested in participating, please complete this form. The cost to rent a garden plot for the season is $40, which includes access to water and community gardening tools. If you are willing to help tend the school's garden plots over the summer, we will waive your plot fee.

We will hold a meeting in April; the date and time will be announced soon.
