The Greater Gardner Women's Circle of Giving is a volunteer organization started by several business leaders in the greater Gardner community in 2014 who were committed to making a difference. The Circle was established to organize and bring together the resources and talents of women in our community to support and improve the lives of women, children, and families. In 2022, the original Co-founders of the Circle passed the baton to the newly established leadership team to bring back the Women’s Circle of Giving after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19. The new leadership team includes Lynn Cormier-Sayarath, Independent Clinical Social Worker & Full time Faculty member at William James College in Newton, Theresa Thompson, Physician Recruiter for Heywood Hospital, Shannon Ouellete, Financial Planner with Northwestern Mutual, and Tracy Hutchinson, Director of Grants Management and Fiscal Operations at Adcare Educational Institute. Together, these women are dedicated to reviving the Women’s Circle of Giving and continuing their mission to support the needs of women, children, and families in our community. The Women's Circle of Giving gathers quarterly each year (September/November/March/June) in a lively networking, and social event to learn about local Non-Profits seeking financial support for a cause that impacts our community. Members present nominations, cast a vote, and then write a tax-deductible check of $50 to the Non-profit organization voted by the majority. Beginning in 2023, Members also have the option to make an electronic donation via Square, which is not tax deductible since we provide a vehicle to collect and distribute those funds. Collectively, the membership determines where the most critical need lies and how to invest resources in hopes of creating the greatest impact community-wide. Yesterday, our leadership team was invited to attend the Greater Gardner Chair City Chapter AARP 3237 Annual Meeting. Janet Stankaitis nominated the Women's Circle of Giving to receive the Women's Initiative Award for outstanding service to the community. It was a fabulous lunch and ceremony, and we were honored to receive the award on behalf of the entire Circle!

Tonight, the Women’s Circle of Giving delivered our runner-up donations from our June meeting to the Guild of St. Agnes Early Education and Child Care Gardner Center.

Thanks to a generous donation by Moon Hill Brewing and Gardner Ale House the total donation was $1,220 that will go towards their summer programming supporting children from the Greater Gardner area. Thank you once again to our Members for being so generous.

We are humbled tonight to honor Carter’s 16th birthday by presenting The Carter 44 Foundation with the proceeds from the Women’s Circle of Giving’s final quarterly meeting of the fiscal year.

This quarter, we are proud to donate $11,250, the largest quarterly gift in our organization’s history. We are especially grateful to Moon Hill Brewing and Gardner Ale House for their generous $500 contribution from the proceeds of March’s Perley Girl brew as well.

Thank you for the meaningful work you do to keep Carter’s memory alive through the foundation and for bringing hope, support, and strength to families facing pediatric cancer. 💛 Happy Heavenly Birthday Carter 💛💚🏒
