Lutheran Early Response Team - Northeast KS

We had a busy 4 days last week in Kansas City Kansas. They said it was straight line winds but some of it really looked like more than that. Talking with most of the residents, they said and described that it sounded like more than winds.
We had 4 really good days with 13 volunteers that worked incredibly hard in the 100 degree heat ( or nearly 100). We completed 9 jobs over the 4 days removing 27 trees and lots of limbs. 3 days of that we stacked or moved limbs by hand to the curb.
This was a great group of folks that came together and were able to show Gods grace to those in need being the hands and feet of our wonderful Lord.
Keep your prayers for those in the affected area as there is still much work to be done.

If you are seeing thisand want to deploy, then you may want to get your gear ready if it is not. There are opportunities that may be put on the LCMS.ORG/disaster page in some if our local areas. There are other opportunities that may be post from some if our neighbors as well so keep an eye out for information that gets posted on the LERT pages.

Made a trip to York Ne. to assist in a new group if cutters in the Nebraska district. Helped out Jim Fehringer as a new up and coming instructor up there.
