‼️🚨Rough Bar🚨‼️

The Coast Guard at Station Tillamook Bay is committed to keeping mariners safe—and that means restricting bar crossings when conditions are hazardous. These restrictions save lives 🌊.

Our crew monitors the bar 24/7 to determine when it’s safe to cross. If the bar is restricted, do not attempt to cross until conditions improve and restrictions are lifted.

🟠 Watch for the Rough Bar Lights at 🟠:

• Garibaldi Marina Boat Ramp
• Coast Guard Boat House / Covered Moorings
• Coast Guard Watch Tower

📡 Check Current Conditions and Restrictions:

• NOAA website (Bar Observations & Camera Images)
• VHF Radio Channels 16 or 22A
• Call Station Tillamook Bay: (206) 815-6708

🚫 Violating a Bar Restriction Can Have Serious Consequences! Crossing in unsafe conditions puts you and your crew at extreme risk and may result in loss of life. Negligent operators may also find themselves facing legal charges, which can include substantial fines! 🚫

🎉 Garibaldi Days Showdown: Coast Guard vs. Fire Department 🔥💦

This weekend’s Garibaldi Days brought the heat—literally—during the highly anticipated Annual Water Ball Competition! Coast Guard Station Tillamook Bay went head-to-head with the Garibaldi Fire Department in a spirited battle of blasts and bravery.

With hoses roaring and hometown pride on the line, the Coast Guard came out victorious! But make no mistake—the Fire Department fought valiantly, keeping us on our toes every step of the way. The real win was the bond between teams, forged stronger by good-natured rivalry and shared laughter.

We were honored to present the Victory Belt to retired Chief and legendary Water Ball announcer Jay Marugg, whose voice and energy have anchored this tradition for years. His legacy continues to inspire and unite our community.

Here’s to teamwork, tradition, and a little friendly fire (department)! 🚒⚓
