I'd like to share a rather unusual and free resource for promoting positive childhood experiences and preventing adverse childhood experiences...parenting norms bumper stickers! Advancing Parenting, a Camarillo, CA nonprofit, produces parenting norms bumper stickers and makes them available at no cost to schools, businesses, organizations, clinics, and individuals. There are fifty-one in a set and each bumper sticker communicates a parenting behavior or practice generally recognized as supporting the healthy development of children. Just one will be read thousands of times! Bumper stickers are a unique and powerful way to educate everyone about parenting. At stoplights drivers and passengers point, smile, and nod. Conversations begin and often a phone is used to take a photo of the sticker right at the stoplight. Presumably, they are being shared on social media. It's wonderful to see! Sets of the stickers can be put in holders and placed on counters and tables so folks can select one or more for their cars. Visit www.advancingparenting.org to request this free resource. Use a computer...our website is not optimized for phones. Please share.
Today we partnered with Garland ISD & Noon Exchange Club of Garland to bless 287 kids with Christmas presents in the district. 38 schools represented & a whole lot of love spread. Thank you to everyone who volunteered & made this possible. Happy Holidays! ❤️
Every person and organization in a community can participate in the prevention of child abuse by either putting one of the fifty-one Advancing Parenting bumper stickers on their car or by making the stickers available to the public. Offices, agencies, businesses, and organizations can put sets of the stickers in holders and place them on tables or counters so folks can choose one or more for their cars. Parenting messages on vehicles are a unique and powerful way to educate everyone about parenting. Visit www.advancingparenting.org. Please share. 😊

ED MOORE and Noon Exchange your morning donation started the day off beautifully!
Noon Exchange Club of Garland (NXG) recently donated funds to five Food Pantries in the Garland, Texas community. The charities were selected because of their continued commitment in community services to those in need during times of inclimate weather and economic hardships. Board Member, Ed Moore, delivered the donations, obtained information about the ongoing work of the charities and extended invitations to speak at future NXG meetings. Each of the recipient charities expressed appreciation and excitement about the donations and invitations to share their missions in the very near future.
