Our community continues to show what can be accomplished when we come together to support one another.

I want to recognize the generosity of the Garland ISD Council of PTAs for donating 180 carbon monoxide detectors to the Garland Fire Department. These life saving devices will be distributed to homes throughout our city, helping protect families from the dangers of carbon monoxide, an invisible, odorless gas that can be deadly.

I also want to thank Walmart Neighborhood Market and the many other community partners who donated bottled water to keep our firefighters hydrated as they serve our residents during the intense summer heat.

These thoughtful contributions make a real difference. They help our first responders do their jobs safely while providing valuable resources that protect our neighbors. I am grateful to these organizations and everyone who continues to invest in the safety and well-being of our Garland community. Together, we are building a stronger, safer city.
