⚠️⚠️⚠️ WATER MAIN BREAK

The City crew is currently working on a water main break on 3rd Street.

Water will be shut off between 3rd Street and 6th Street on the east side of State Street and the west side of Maben Avenue. This will affect businesses within this area.

Crews are working as quickly as possible to make the necessary repairs and restore water service. We appreciate your patience and understanding while the work is completed.

Due to work being completed on the water tower, residents may experience intermittent discolored water over the next few weeks. While the discoloration may be noticeable, the water is safe to drink.

The City of Garner is deeply saddened by the passing of former City Clerk Daisy Huffman, who dedicated 20 years of service to our community.

Daisy’s knowledge was unmatched. She was well known throughout the clerk world as a go-to person for just about anything municipality-related. Her experience, willingness to help, and dedication to her profession made her a trusted resource not only for Garner, but for clerks and communities across the area.

Daisy’s impact reached far beyond the walls of City Hall. She gave her knowledge, her time, and most importantly, her heart to the City of Garner and the people she served.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Daisy’s family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Thank you, Daisy, for everything you gave to our community.

On August 14, 2023, Mayor Schmidt officially proclaimed August 14th, Francis's Birthday, as Francis Zrostlik day in Garner. Today we proudly fly the flags and remember the incredible legacy Francis left in our Community

Our flags our also flying today in memory of Greg Rayhons (July 9, 1961 - August 8, 2026), honoring his military service and his dedication to our community.
