The Garner Rotary Club invites community members to attend an important meeting regarding the new community playground project.

We will be meeting on Monday, June 22nd at 6:00 PM at the Garner Golf Course to finalize the design and make-up of the playground.

If you are interested in this project and would like to learn more or provide input, we encourage you to join us. Community involvement has been a key part of this project, and we'd love to have your participation as we move toward the final planning stages.

What if understanding yourself better could make you a stronger employee, teammate, and leader?

That was the focus of this morning's HCEDC Intern Professional Development Program session, Enneagram Foundations for Self-Awareness, led by Katrina Klooster and Leah Reinert of Edge of Growth Co.

Our interns didn't just learn about personality types—they practiced communication, built new connections, and gained insight into what motivates both themselves and others.

Watching 36 interns from across Hancock County employers engage in meaningful conversations and networking reminds us why investing in young talent matters.

The technical skills they learn on the job are important, but self-awareness, communication, and relationship-building are the skills that will serve them throughout their careers.

Thank you, Katrina and Leah, for an impactful morning of learning and growth.

What do you get when you combine interns, pizza, bowling, and a little healthy competition?

A lot of laughter, new friendships, and valuable networking opportunities.

One of the goals of our Intern Professional Development Program is helping interns build connections with others who are spending their summer working in Hancock County.

Tonight was a great reminder that professional networking doesn't always happen in a conference room—it can happen over pizza and a bowling lane too.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a fun evening! We are excited to watch these future leaders continue to grow and connect throughout the summer.
