DAY 2 RECAP!

Swipe through these pictures to see some joyful faces ☺️Today was all about HOW God, as our Shepard, will comfort us when we're scared. Pastor Alan from Just Jesus Community Church, reminded us that the same God who gives us peace is the same God who gives us courage. We can all be encouraged from this impactful reminder.

A big thanks to Mount Moriah Baptist Church for providing us homemade sandwiches for lunch! Thank you also to Pastor Alan for taking the trip out to give us a great devotion. We appreciate you all!

Taking a break from Bible Camp prep to highlight Teacher Appreciation week from this past month. The participants had the opportunity to bring gifts to EC educators of Clayton High School, Cleveland High School and Garner Senior High School. They even got to use some of their creative gifts and decorate the chip boxes! We were grateful to have the opportunity to serve some amazing leaders in education!

We're excited to share that Able to Serve, Inc. is continuing their partnership with CLASY for another year.

For more than two decades, Able to Serve has been helping adults with disabilities learn, grow, lead, and serve. Their mission isn't simply to provide a place to spend the day—it's to equip adults with disabilities to become more independent while connecting them with meaningful opportunities to contribute to their community.

What makes Able to Serve so special is their belief that every person has gifts, abilities, and something valuable to offer.

Through life skills training, continuing education, community involvement, and service opportunities, participants are encouraged to discover their strengths and become active, valued members of the communities they call home.

This is the kind of organization that quietly changes lives every single day.

🎭🧵 NEW THIS SUMMER: SKILLZ Program at Able to Serve! 🧵🎭

We're excited to launch two brand-new SKILLZ Program Classes for Summer 2026 designed for teens and adults with disabilities to learn, create, and build confidence in a fun, supportive environment!

🧵 Sewing SKILLZ Class
Learn basic sewing skills while creating unique bags from surplus prison uniforms. No prior sewing experience needed!

🎭 Theater SKILLZ Class
Discover the joy of theater through acting, creativity, teamwork, and performance. Participants will work together toward a final showcase performance!

These programs are open to community participants and Able to Serve participants alike. You do not have to be in our day program to participate!

Visiting Flags for Heroes last week was so impactful to our participants at Able to Serve. It gave them the opportunity to pray and honor current active duty members, public safety members, and those who lost their lives serving our country.
