Labor Day Weekend Safety Reminder! 🇺🇸

As we head into the holiday weekend, Bethel Township would like to remind everyone to drive sober, drive slower, and get home safe!

PennDOT and Pennsylvania State Police are increasing impaired driving enforcement now through September 7th. Whether you're heading to a BBQ, spending time with family, or traveling for the weekend, please make a plan to get home safely.

544 BOOKS COLLECTED! ❤️📚

Our community has blown us away with the generosity and support shown during our recent Book Drive!

Bethel Township Parks & Recreation Student Ambassador has been working on an incredible initiative to bring Little Free Libraries to our parks, with the help of our amazing Highway Department. These libraries will give residents of all ages the opportunity to take a book, leave a book, and discover something new right here in our parks. 🌳

We asked our residents to donate their gently used, good condition books to help fill these new libraries, and you exceeded our expectations with a total of 544 Books collected. 😆

📚 As the Little Free Libraries begin to run low, our Student Ambassador will help refill them to keep the books circulating throughout our parks.

Any remaining books from our drive will be donated to the Rachel Kohl Community Library, making sure that your generosity continues to make an impact beyond our parks.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Beginning this morning, Thursday, August 27, crews will be working on the traffic signal at the intersection of Foulk Road & Naamans Creek Road.

🔸Expect delays in the area until approximately 12:00 PM today.

🚧 Please use caution, allow extra travel time, and remain alert while traveling through the intersection.

📢ATTENTION BETHEL RESIDENTS:

🚦Foulk Road & Naamans Creek Road traffic lights will be placed on constant flash due to fire hydrant replacement. Also, Foulk Road and Zebley Road Residents, expect temporary water disruption.

🚧 Paving started on Marian Drive expect delays.

Please use caution and be alert while traveling through these areas.
