Air quality remains at unhealthy to very unhealthy levels, especially during the morning hours.

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management has issued an Air Quality Action Day for Friday across northeastern Indiana, and poor air quality is also impacting northwest Ohio.

🌫️ Wildfire smoke from fires burning north of us will continue to affect the area through Friday morning before gradually improving during the afternoon. Fine particulate matter from the smoke may push air quality into the Red (Unhealthy) category at times.

⚠️ What this means:
• Sensitive groups should avoid outdoor activities.
• Even healthy individuals may experience throat irritation, coughing, or difficulty breathing.
• If possible, limit time outdoors, keep windows closed, and consider postponing strenuous outdoor activities until air quality improves.

Stay informed, take precautions, and check on family, friends, and neighbors who may be more vulnerable to poor air quality. Stay safe!
