PORTAGE COUNTY 911 DOWN; RESPONSE UNDERWAY

Portage County Emergency Management Agency is reporting intermittent disruptions in 911 and all administrative lines to dispatch centers across the county.

Please contact this number that goes to the Sheriff’s Office FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY: 330-842-6399.

The Portage County Sheriff’s Office and EMA are investigating the cause and working on full restoration.

The outage affects 911 calls to all police and fire departments in county.

It was great seeing over 120 kids take part in the annual Community EMS District Easter Egg Hunt! Congratulations to Jack, Lillian, Zander, Willow, Case, Prim Rose, Kameron and Sophia on winning your new bicycle! Thank you again to the local businesses that sponsored the bikes - The Business Works, Inc., Cellar Door Coffee Co., Daystar Ford, The Main Street Barbershop of Garrettsville, Sarchione Chevrolet Garrettsville, Timmons Tax & Accounting, LLC and Weekly Villager.

The Nelson Garrettsville Community Cupboard is appreciative of all the donations that were made as well!

Easter Egg Hunt Details❗️
FREE EVENT - OPEN TO EVERYONE! OVER 7️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ eggs available.
Starts at 3pm 🕒.
Rain 🌧️ or Shine ☀️ - if it's raining, EVERYTHING will be hosted inside the bays.
Complete the waiver 📝 and each child gets a ticket 🎟️ to win a bike 🚲.
Winners 🏆 of the bikes will be drawn after each age group is done with the egg hunt 🔎. (Age groups are 2-3, 4-5, 6-7 and 8-10. We're not checking IDs and will not turn any child away who wants to be a kid! ) We ask that you return the eggs so the event can continue to grow! Bins will be available for you to drop them into ♻️.
The Easter Bunny will be available for you to take pictures with your own camera/phone 📸.
Donations are being accepted to support the Nelson Garrettsville Community Cupboard! Please bring those non-perishable food items 🥫to help those in need.
