We need straight talk from our County Executive, not fear mongering. It is possible for Putnam to have such a County Executive - Vote For Brett Yarris!

Leadership is about making sure the people we serve have the facts and the truth, rather than try to stoke fear with inflammatory rhetoric.

Here is my statement about “Local Crimes, Local Cops” going into effect, and what it means for Putnam County.

Career political operative Mike Lawler is lying again — trying to make his record of voting 100% of the time with Donald Trump seem like a good thing.

In his new ad, Mike touts his deciding vote for Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill.” What he “doesn’t mention is the vastly larger number of people who lost affordable health care or access to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) as a result of the bill.” He also conveniently leaves out the “bill’s tax cuts for corporations and wealthy Americans.”

At the end of the day, Mike Lawler will always look out for corporations and his billionaire buddies at our expense. That’s why on November 3rd, we’ll send him packing.

Yet another reason we need Bret Yarris as our County Executive - funds approved by the County to address food insecurity and signed off on by the current County Executive WERE NEVER DISTRIBUTED. Some of our neighbors went hungry - or had to reallocate limited funds away from other needs - when all the while the funds that could have helped them were impounded by our County Executive.
