Good afternoon folks,
Some of y’all received a little rainfall earlier this morning. This is better than non but the amount received is not even close to the amount needed to reduce the fire threat and will slow them for a very short period today. All areas are still under a BURN BAN and will continue to be until we receive substantial rainfall across the region. We have begun to respond to illegal burns in the area and want to let everyone know that the grace period is over and will most likely result in a citation for burning. The sheriffs department has been responding to these calls with us to handle the violations. If you see a fire then be sure to report it to 911.

Tonight the fire department got to go over the new ISO tanker shuttle training. We were able to do a test run on it tonight and some of our juniors got to be at the end of the nozzle tonight as well!

With the drought conditions continuing to worsen. If you see a fire report it. In these conditions fire will grow rapidly and be difficult to contain. Use caution when doing outdoor activities that can cause a fire. Mowing, grinding, and welding are some examples.

Worsening drought conditions and shifting winds will contribute to increased fire danger Today across the entire Four State Region. Follow burn guidance of local officials, as several counties/parishes are currently under burn bans.

With our Tech 2 class coming up in September I wanted to share some memories from the past Tech 1 class we had in April. I finally got all the pictures downloaded from my camera (Sorry it took so long, life got crazy-Jade). This is a class you do not want to miss out on! Led by an amazing crew of instructors you will gain a lot of knowledge from it! Tag people you see on here so that they can get their pictures!

Two nights ago Garrison Fire Department assisted mount enterprise with a structure fire. When units arrived on scene they assisted with manpower and water. Together units were able to get the fire under control. Mount enterprise cleared garrison units after fire was completely contained

Attention: effective today 8/11/2026 Nacogdoches county went under a burn ban.

Nacogdoches County Commissioners issued an Order Restricting Outdoor Burning during today’s regularly scheduled meeting. The ban prohibits outdoor burning in unincorporated parts of the county for 90 days unless lifted sooner.
The ban does NOT apply to outdoor cooking provided the grill or smoker is placed on a concrete, gravel or dirt surface at least 5 feet away from any combustible materials.
Violations of the ban are a Class-C misdemeanor.

Tonight we decided to skip on training and celebrate the kids going back to school. Who said dump tanks only could be used on fire scene. The kids had a blast and the fire fighter got ganged up on! Here to hoping our kids have another great school year
