Fun Friday at East Chicago Lighthouse Charter School is always a student favorite, but it would not be possible without the incredible parents and volunteers who continue to show up for our scholars all year long

Today, Ms. Lopez took a moment to recognize Ms. Lewis and Mrs. Sevier for their continued support and dedication to our school community. From popcorn and nachos to slushies and smiles, their willingness to volunteer helps create the moments our scholars look forward to each Friday.

As we prepare for upcoming events like Field Day and continue activities across our campuses, we would love to build a larger roster of parent volunteers throughout Northwest Indiana Lighthouse Charter Schools.

Whether your scholar attends EC, Primary, or any of our campuses, there are so many opportunities to get involved, support events, and be part of the experiences that make our schools special.

We want to simply say thank you to our Teachers.

Thank you to our teachers for the early mornings, the long days, the patience, the encouragement, and the countless ways you pour into our scholars each and every day.

Throughout this week, campuses across Lighthouse celebrated the educators who make our schools shine through thoughtful surprises, meals, treats, student appreciation, and special moments of gratitude. While each celebration looked different, the message remained the same: we appreciate you.

Thank you for leading with purpose, showing up with heart, and making a lasting impact in the lives of our students. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.

Join us for our final Parent Circle of the year at Gary Lighthouse - Primary Campus!

We’ll be discussing Digital Citizenship and Wellness with Teshezia George, MPA from Edgewater.

As the week comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on and honor the leaders who pour into our schools every single day.

This week, our campuses had the opportunity to celebrate our Assistant Principals (our DTLs), but their impact goes far beyond just one week. They show up with care, consistency, and intention, holding our schools together in ways that don’t always get seen, but are always felt.

Mr. Abuakar (CPC) — Reliable, thoughtful, and always solution-oriented, you are someone your team can truly count on.

Ms. Morris (CPC) — Your strong, steady presence and high expectations create balance, structure, and a sense of stability for everyone around you.

Ms. Strong (UC) — Your unwavering support and steady encouragement make a difference in every space you walk into. You uplift people in a way that stays with them.

Ms. Daniel (EC) — You bring consistency, fairness, and a calm strength that helps shape a positive and structured school community.
