Mrs. Jones’ 3rd grade class is learning all about culture and community through their reading and social studies curriculum! As part of their learning, students are working together to learn a special rap that they will then teach to the other two 3rd grade classes. We love seeing our students take ownership of their learning, collaborate with their classmates, and become teachers themselves!

It was so great welcoming our families into the building, meeting our teachers, and getting ready for another amazing school year. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make the evening so special! We are excited for all that this school year has in store for our students!

I was able to visit every classroom today to personally hug every staff member and leader. I’m super grateful to everyone! You made a difference to more than 750 students today.

To say it was an emotional day is an understatement, too. The students were engaged, learning, and happy. Staff shared they were glad to be back at work and getting a bit of normalcy back in their lives. Not one complaint. Wow!

We even had two teachers start this week. Yvonne started yesterday. Jasmine started Wednesday. Who starts a new job in this climate? They do! And they were happy to be serving our children.

Our staff are clearly special people. Heroes!

They put the needs of our families over their own. I’m super proud. We are all blessed!
