Rest in peace Andrew (Andy) Finick, Jr. W9FXT. Ham radios reach places that no other radios can, but I think Heaven may have different frequencies. We will miss you down here; thank you for sharing your gift of communication with the District and so many others. Over and Out, we'll take it from here.

Registration is open for the third annual Indiana 10-4 Day!!

Saturday morning, October 4th β€” is Indiana β€œ10-4 Day!”
9:00 am to 12:00 Noon Central Time
at Munster Fire Dept Station #2, 550 Fisher Street, Munster, Indiana.

Interoperability needs arise suddenly. Too often, we realize DUSTY PLANS and RUSTY PRACTICES fail us in those moments.

On 10-4 Day, the Integrated Public Safety Commission - Indiana (IPSC) is conducting a statewide interoperability exercise β€” hands-on, realistic, and designed to sharpen radio communications, coordination, and readiness before the next incident occurs.

Why Participate?
βœ… Test your communications plans in real scenarios
βœ… Identify gaps and strengthen mutual aid responses
βœ… Improve safety for you and your fellow responders
βœ… Build familiarity with other agencies, talkgroups, and systems

Who’s Invited:
Telecommunicators β€’ Police β€’ Fire-Rescue β€’ EMS β€’ Emergency Management β€’ Amateur Radio β€” all are welcome!

We heard in the exercise there will be a chance of πŸŒͺ️ β›ˆοΈ and even πŸ‘½.

Any 911 PSAPs and ISP RDCs can "PLAY IN PLACE"
