Gary Transit service updates are now in effect!

GPTC has expanded service across multiple routes to provide better coverage, improved reliability, and greater access throughout Gary and Lake County.

Route Updates:
• L1 – West Central via Grant: Extended to MLK Drive to maintain service on 35th Avenue

• L4/R5 – University Park & Merrillville Shuttle: Improved route efficiency with new coverage at Market City (41st & Cleveland)

• R2 – US30 Shuttle: Extended to SR55 and now serving the Lake County Library
