We have cleaned out our audio books and have them on the book sale rack. There are so many kids and adults alike will love! $1.00 each.

We've extended the deadline to Aug. 17. We are open until 7pm that day to get them to us. Our board meets the 19th and will vote on one then.

Attention creative artists in our community! Would you like your artwork featured on our library cards? We are going to run a contest until Aug. 3 for the design of new library cards. We are almost out, so we can't have the contest go on longer than Aug. 3. We apologize for the short turn around time, but we know our talented community can make it happen. You can submit your idea to the library in person, or send it to our email. A template will be in the comments you can print out to use or stop in and grab one. The dimensions we need to use will be 3.5 inches long by 2.5 inches tall. Please absolutely no use of AI to create your design. We want to showcase local artists. Some ideas we would love to see is Gassaway history, what you love about your town, landscape of our beautiful mountains, historical buildings, etc. No age requirements, we want to see everyone's ideas and designs come to life. Show us what the library means to you.

Don't forget tomorrow is week 4 of our Summer Reading Program. We have even more prehistoric fun planned! We have two sessions to accommodate your schedule. You can bring your little ones at 10am or 1pm. We can't wait to see you all!

Craft class is taking back off on July 27! Come out and enjoy a fun craft hosted by our volunteer Joelle. She has tons of great ideas and this week we are painting on canvas.

Here is a little glimpse into the first 3 weeks of Summer Reading at Gassaway Public Library. Somehow we didn't get any pictures of them hatching their baby dinos or adopting them. There was 37 kids at our first session that day so we were in go mode. If any parent got any pictures and would share them, that would be great. We've had a fantastic 3 weeks, and can't wait for the next 3.

Our next Little Listener's Story Hour is scheduled for July 21 at 9am. We will be hatching baby dinosaurs, eating a dino snack and coloring some cute baby dinosaurs. This is for preschool aged kids. Can't wait to see everyone.

Summer Reading week 2 is tomorrow! We can't wait to share our dino nursery with everyone. 2 sessions, 10am and 1pm. Both are the same session, we just want to give you two different times to fit your schedule better.
