Before we start sharing whatโ€™s ahead for this yearโ€™s ๐“๐ก๐ซ๐ž๐š๐๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‡๐จ๐ฉ๐ž, we want to take a moment to recognize some of the people who help make this event possible year after year.

Our planning team and volunteers bring their time, ideas, connections, and a whole lot of heart to Threads of Hope, and each year, they help make the event even better.

We are so grateful for their commitment to this event, to Hope United, and most importantly, to the survivors and families we serve.

Collaboration in action. ๐Ÿ’™

Members of our Hope United team recently joined partners from the Gaston County District Attorneyโ€™s Office, Gaston County Police, Gastonia Police Department, and Gaston County EMS for a trip to Wake County to learn more about their Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) and collaborative approach to supporting survivors.

We learned, shared ideas, and saw firsthand how strong partnerships can create a more coordinated response for survivors.

Weโ€™re grateful for the opportunity to learn from others and excited to bring those ideas home, strengthen our partnerships, and put what we learned into action in Gaston County. ๐Ÿ’™

Hope Unitedโ€™s next Drop-In Clinic is coming up on Thursday, August 6 from 9 a.m.โ€“12 p.m.

In partnership with Gaston County Public Health, the clinic offers free and confidential services in a safe, welcoming environment. You do not have to be a Hope United client to attendโ€”all community members are welcome, and no appointment is necessary.

Services include STI testing and exams, on-site education, counseling, safety planning, resources, and support.
