Please join us in congratulating Major Jessica Ross, Major Mike Ross, Captain Wes Long, Captain Brandon Miller, and Lieutenant Melissa Levitsky on their recent graduation from the NC EMS Leadership Academy V at Forsyth Tech in Winston-Salem.

The NC EMS Leadership Academy is a comprehensive leadership development program consisting of two sessions held over the course of a year, with participants attending both a fall and spring academy. The program was created through a collaboration of EMS officers, managers, and leaders from across North Carolina to build upon the success of the NC EMS Officer I and II programs and address the challenges facing EMS agencies statewide.

Through leadership development, problem-solving, collaboration, and professional growth, participants gain valuable skills to help navigate issues such as workforce shortages, employee engagement, succession planning, and organizational leadership. The academy brings together EMS professionals from across the state to learn from one another and develop solutions to the challenges impacting our profession.

We are proud of these leaders for their commitment to professional development and their dedication to strengthening Gaston County EMS. Their willingness to invest in themselves ultimately helps us better serve our patients, support our team members, and lead our organization with purpose, innovation, and a lasting impact on the communities we serve.

We would also like to congratulate all members of NC EMS Leadership Academy V on their graduation and thank them for their commitment to advancing EMS across North Carolina. The future of our profession is stronger because of leaders willing to invest in learning, growth, and service.

Congratulations on this outstanding accomplishment!
