Piedmont's performing arts had a lot to celebrate this summer! We want to share some exciting highlights from dance and theatre arts...

🎭 Piedmont received two scholarships worth $1,000 each to Broadway Dreams, presented by the Blumey Awards. High school students Tiana Butler and Will Francis were selected to attend this prestigious workshop that connects aspiring musical theater performers with working Broadway professionals for intensive training. What an awesome experience for these talented students!

⭐️ Congratulations to the PCCS high school dance team who attended the Showstopper National Southern Finals in Orlando and earned several awards including:
🏆 Overall National Champion duo/trio - Kara Hammond and Will Francis
🏆 Platinum Hip Hop Solo - Xavier Jattan
🏆 Rising Star Soloist - Braden Crabtree
🏆 National Champion - Senior Group category

🎈 We did it! Piedmont's goal of 2,000 students in attendance was met on Day 2 of the 2026-27 school year. 🎉

Day 1 saw 1,994 students present. On Day 2, we met our goal thanks to your commitment to our school and your child's education. We are very thankful for our PCCS Patriot families who made sure their children were in attendance on day one this school year, which is critical to receiving our school's full funding. We finalized our enrollment with a waitlist of 1,128!

✏️🍎 A happy first day for all of our Patriots! 🎉 Today we welcomed all of our students to our 3 campuses, from our kindergarteners on their very first first day of school to the Class of 2027 for their last first day of school. From the very beginning to the very end, we’re so excited for a year filled with learning, growth, and new memories. Here’s to a fantastic school year at Piedmont!

Each of Piedmont's three campuses has a Gaston County Police Officer serving in the SRO role. We are so grateful for the School Resource Officers who help support and ensure the safety of PCCS!

Save the date for Piedmont's used uniform sale!

🗓 Saturday August 8th from 9am-12pm
Due to ongoing work.. the sale will be at the MIDDLE school campus this year
All used item are $1.

👕 We will also have a pop up shop of new spirit wear shirts and hoodies! Limited supplies!

PCCS parents may drop off used uniform items that no longer fit your child at either the Middle School or High School front entry way. There is a tub labeled "Used Uniform Sale". This is what we use to provide our families with some cheap uniform options for the upcoming school year.

If you'd like to volunteer with the sale, visit the Sign Up Genius link that was sent through Parentsquare.
