Our schools are coming together for a fantastic cause. Through our "Nickels for Neighbors" campaign, we are on a mission to raise $25,000 (that's 500,000 nickels) to support our friends in Mitchell County affected by Hurricane Helene.

Mark your calendars for December 3-4. On these special days, all 56 schools in our district will be collecting loose change to help Mitchell County Schools. Every nickel, penny, dime, quarter, and dollar counts. Encourage students and staff to bring in any amount they can.

Our goal is to support the Class of 2025 at Mitchell High School and Mayland Early College High School by funding caps and gowns, yearbooks, and other graduation-related activities. Let's ensure their senior year is unforgettable despite the challenges they've faced.

Hello Webb Street Family,

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! We want to thank all the families that came last week to have lunch with us. A special thank you goes to the cafeteria ladies for all of their hard work in preparing our food. It was delicious.

There will be no school Wednesday - Friday of this week for the Thanksgiving holidays. Classes will resume on Monday, December 2.

Please take a few moments to complete a family survey that helps us understand your perspectives on your child's learning experience and sense of belonging, school safety and environment, communication effectiveness, digital access and resources, and ways we can better support learning at home. Good afternoon, Webb Street Family,

We hope you had a great weekend! We will be having our Thanksgiving Meal this Wednesday, November 20th. Teachers will give you your time this week. We are excited about having you join our family for lunch. Here are just a few reminders: Please arrive a few minutes earlier than your scheduled time. We will have chairs in the lobby for you to wait until it is time for your class to eat. You will get a ticket from the front office for your meal. Once it is time for your class to eat, we will have someone es**rt you down to your table. We also will have our Webb Street shirts and dog treats available to purchase at the front office.

Looking ahead, our last day before Thanksgiving Break is November 26th. There will be no school from November 27th to 29th.

Good afternoon Webb Street Family,

I hope everyone had a great weekend! This is just a reminder that there is no school for Veterans Day tomorrow, Monday, November 11th. To all Veterans: THANK YOU for everything you do for our country and our freedom! Today and every day, we thank Veterans everywhere for their service! There aren't enough words to express our gratitude for all the troops who served our country. To all Veterans out there, we honor, respect, and support you.

We appreciate all of the families that bought Belk tickets this past weekend. The Charity Day Sale continues to be on Monday. Ms. Courtney will be selling Belk tickets tomorrow morning at 10:00 at the New Hope entrance. The ticket you purchase gives $5 to Webb Street School. In return, you get a $5 credit to use at Belk, plus an additional 25% off most items in the store.

We will be having our Thanksgiving Meal on November 20th. Attached to your email is a flyer that was sent home this past week. Please return your flyer by November 13th to reserve your spot in our delicious meal.

Good afternoon Webb Street Family!

We hope you had a wonderful weekend! This Tuesday, due to Election Day, there will be a Mandated Teacher Workday on November 5th.

We will have make-up pictures on November 6th.

There will be no school on November 11th to honor the brave men and women who have served our great nation.

Have you heard about the Belk Charity Sale? This is a wonderful event that helps support the school. You can purchase a $5 ticket from the school. In return, you get a coupon for $5 to spend at Belk, plus an extra 25% off your favorite designer brands. You can purchase tickets this week from the office or during dismissal. We sent home a flyer last week. Please return your flyer this week with the number of tickets you want to purchase. You can use the coupon for the weekend of November 8 - 11. All ticket proceeds go to Webb Street School.

Please be mindful if your child is running a fever or is sick. Your child must be fever, and diarrhea-free without medication for at least 24 hours before returning to school. If your child wakes up with pinkeye, they should remain at home. Thank you for your support.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! We will have a very busy week with Webb Street School Spirit Week. We will celebrate "Merica Monday" on Monday by wearing Red, White, and Blue. We will have Tacky Tuesday by wearing the most wacky and tacky items. Show your Webb Street pride on Wednesday by wearing a Webb Street shirt or blue and white. On Thursday, dress up as your favorite storybook character. We will end our week with everyone's favorite day, pajama day. Please be sure your costumes are school-appropriate throughout the week.

Good afternoon Webb Street Family,

I hope everyone had a safe weekend! Earlier today, Todd Hagans announced that we will have a remote learning day for students on Monday, September 30. Teachers sent home some work on Thursday that can be completed tomorrow.

I do have a correction from last week. We will have our parent-teacher conferences on Thursday, October 10th. There will be no school on Friday, October 11th, due to an Optional Teacher Workday.

I hope everyone has a safe day tomorrow and I look forward to seeing everyone very soon!
