Senior TLC, a PACE Program, provides full-service, personalized healthcare for adults 55 and older who are in need of a little extra support and care. Senior TLC provides transportation, day center services, in-home care, therapy services, medication, and so much more.

A Meaningful First Memorial Service at Senior TLC West 🤍

Recently, we held our very first memorial service at our Shelby location, Senior TLC West—a special time to honor and remember the participants we have lost with their families, while celebrating the love, laughter, and memories they shared with us.

We came together to reflect, remember, and support one another through both grief and gratitude. At Senior TLC, those in our care become part of our family, and their lives continue to leave a lasting impact on all of us.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this meaningful service possible. A special thank you to Daniel Rushing, our Chaplain, for coordinating and leading the service. 💙

🐴💛 A Special Visitor at Senior TLC – Gastonia! 💛🐴

We recently enjoyed a wonderful visit from Soleil the Mini Horse, and she brought so many smiles, laughs, and joyful moments to everyone she met! 🌟

Animal visits like these can brighten spirits, encourage connection, and make the day extra special. We loved spending time with Soleil and are so thankful for the happiness she shared with our Senior TLC family. 💕

This is a friendly reminder that Senior TLC’s social centers will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day.

Our on-call nurse will be available for emergencies and can be reached at 704-874-0600 (press option 1).

Hours of operation will resume as normal Tuesday, May 26th.

As we gather with family and friends this weekend, let us take a moment to remember those who have given their lives in defense of our nation. May we never forget their sacrifice, and may we always strive to uphold the values they fought to protect. Let us cherish their memory and express our gratitude for their service on this solemn day.

Eduardo Quezada, Director of Community Education PACE Lead wins North Carolina PACESETTER Award 💙🎉

Team members from Senior TLC – Gastonia and Shelby recently attended the North Carolina PACE Conference, joining other professionals from across the state to learn, collaborate, and continue improving care for seniors and their families. 🌟

Every year, PACE programs across the state nominate employees for both team and individual awards. This year, we are thrilled to celebrate Eduardo Quezada, Senior TLC's Director of Community Education PACE Lead, for receiving the prestigious Dr. Marsha Fretwell NC PACESETTER Award! 👏

The Dr. Marsha Fretwell NC PACESETTER Award recognizes a PACE employee of extraordinary services and extraordinary impact. This person “finds a way to raise the bar and change the world.”

While he may not accept the credit, Eduardo is more than deserving of this award.

Eduardo began his journey with Senior TLC as an intern during the final year of his master’s program at UNC Charlotte. From the very beginning, his passion, initiative, and drive to serve others stood out. Since then, he has grown into a leadership role where he continues to make a lasting impact through innovation and community outreach.

Over the past several years, Eduardo has introduced creative recruitment strategies, expanded Senior TLC’s digital and social media presence, and helped implement new tools and resources to better support participants and families. His ideas and leadership have been recognized beyond our organization, with other PACE programs across the country seeking his guidance and expertise.

We are incredibly proud of Eduardo and thankful for all of our dedicated team members who continue working to make a positive difference in the communities we serve. 💙

Our annual memorial service is one of the most meaningful moments in our year. It is a time to honor the lives of the participants we've lost and celebrate the love and joy they brought to our community. Caregivers and family members join us to remember and honor their loved ones, and together we hold space for the grief and gratitude we carry.

At Senior TLC, the people in our care are seen, known, and deeply valued. And they are never forgotten.

Thank you to all of the families who joined us, and to the staff members whose hard work made the event possible. A special thank you to Daniel Rushing, our Chaplain, for coordinating and leading the service, and to Rev. Dean Newkirk for sharing his talents through song and piano. 🤍
