✨ Varsity Boys: Took the W with a commanding 67-55 victory!
✨ Varsity Girls: Battled it out for a thrilling 53-52 win!

🎉 Happy New Year, Green Wave Family! 🎉

Our social media volunteer took the holidays off and now we have lots to brag about.

🏀 Congratulations to our boys’ varsity basketball team!
*They defeated South Point, Northwest Cabarrus, and The Palisades.
*They also took down Gaston Day with a score of 79-70 to become the Kings Mountain Mountaineer Classic Champions.
*Special recognition goes to Isaac Byers, who was named the First Team Tournament MVP, and to Jamarion Patton and Jayden Armstrong, who were named to the First Team All-Tournament.
*Be sure to come out Tuesday night as our basketball teams take on Kings Mountain right here at home. We’ll see you there!

🏅Our wrestling team has also had an amazing couple of weeks.
*They were named the Greyhound Classic Champions, with Ben Gregory, Caleb Gordon, and Jonathan Moore all winning their weight classes. Maveric Monteith and Abel Feliciano took second place finishes, and Jaycob Perez placed third.
*The team also went 4-0 at the Reindeer Rumble in Lincolnton.
*This past weekend, they placed second overall out of 46 teams at the Bearcat Invitational, where Brooks Pollard earned his 100th career win. Way to go, Green Wave!

Special shoutout to Jonathan Moore for being named the AI Kessie Heavyweight Champion and earning the title of Most Outstanding Wrestler out of 200+ competitors! 💪

This is a friendly reminder that our teacher-made and state testing will begin tomorrow. To ensure a smooth and uninterrupted testing process, it is crucial that students make every effort to arrive on time. Late arrivals will not be permitted to enter a state testing session once it has begun. Additionally, students will not be able to be signed out while testing is in progress due to state testing policies.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding testing procedures, please do not hesitate to contact the school office. We appreciate your understanding and support as we work to create a focused and fair environment for all students during this important time.
