Toby Hampson is currently a judge on the North Carolina Court of Appeals. He was elected in 2018 and began serving on the court in January 2019. His current term runs through the end of 2026, and he is seeking re-election to remain on the bench.

* He grew up in Moore County and attended North Carolina public schools, including the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.
* He earned his bachelor’s degree from American University and his law degree from the Campbell University School of Law, graduating with honors.

Yesterday, we remember the 49 lives lost at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando and stand with the survivors, families, and communities forever changed by this tragedy.

Pulse Remembrance Day is a time to honor those we lost, reflect on the work still ahead, and reaffirm our commitment to a world where everyone can live openly, safely, and without fear.
