Good evening, this is Mr. Hubers the principal at Pleasant Ridge Elementary.

It is time to register to be a bus rider for the 2026-2027 school year! Please use the form in your email and posted to Facebook to register your child for the bus. The sooner we receive it, the sooner we will be able to give you your pick-up information. We will communicate approximate times and stop locations with you the beginning of August.

Also it is time to register for Kindergarten. If you have a child starting in Kindergarten for the 26/27 school year, please register them through the Gaston County Schools website. If you know of someone who will be starting Kindergarten next year, please encourage them to register. The sooner we have students register, the easier it is to plan for the upcoming school year.

I hope everyone has a wonderful evening and GO PANTHERS!

Good evening, this is Mr. Hubers the principal at Pleasant Ridge with some important reminders for the coming week.

I am so proud of how hard our students and teachers worked the last 7 school days on their EOG tests and for some of our students both a reteach and a retest.

As the school year comes to a close I want to remind all parents about End of Year Awards Day for each grade level. The dates and times are on the flyer attached to your email and posted on our page. A reminder that students who are receiving an award were given a blue notification letter. All students in Kindergarten and 5th grade will be recognized, but in the other grades it is only those students who received the blue notification letter. I am so proud of all our students and excited to celebrate the school year with them!

On Tuesday morning before the 5th grade awards, we will have a special guest (Trace Casanova) who will be performing for our 5th grade students. 5th grade parents you are welcome to attend his performance from 8:30-9 before the awards ceremony begins.

Finally a reminder that Wednesday, May 20th is the last day of school for our students for the 25/26 school year. I hope everyone has a wonderful summer break and I want to thank you for your support for our school this school year. Have a wonderful evening and GO PANTHERS!

Today we rewarded our 3rd–5th grade students at Pleasant Ridge Elementary for all of their hard work during EOG testing! Students enjoyed slushies and our “Pie an Admin in the Face” celebration for using their strategies, staying focused, and giving their very best effort.

We are so proud of the hard work, determination, and perseverance our students have shown throughout testing. Thank you to our amazing staff and families for supporting our Panthers every step of the way! 💙🐾

Good evening, this is Mr. Hubers the principal at Pleasant Ridge with an important reminder. Tomorrow, May 14th and Friday, May 15th are EOG retesting days. We will have several students taking retests the next 2 days. If your child is retesting, please encourage them to take their time and do their best. We had several students who were very close to passing and after 3 days of reteaching, we are looking forward to great results on the retest! We are also asking that no parents check their child out before 1pm tomorrow and Friday. Our building will be in testing mode until 1pm and we ask that if you need to sign your child out you do so after 1pm. Thank you for your help with this and I hope everyone has a wonderful evening.

Good evening, this is Mr. Hubers the principal at Pleasant Ridge Elementary with some important reminders for the coming week.

This is our last full week of school for the 25/26 school year and it is an important week! All our 5th grade students will be taking their Science EOG on Tuesday, May 12th, and any student that was not proficient on the math or reading EOG they took this past Thursday and Friday will have the opportunity to retest on this Thursday and Friday. Please encourage your child to stay focused and continue to learn and grow. We want to have a strong finish to the school year.

A reminder that school starts each morning at 8am and students are expected to be in class at that time. We start student drop off each morning at 7:20. If you want to avoid the long line, arriving before 7:40 is a great option. Also, please make sure you are not pulling in the parking lot and having your student cross the drop off line road. This is both not safe for your student and it slows our line down. Thank you for your help with this matter.

Finally, just a reminder about our End of Year Awards. They will begin on Monday, May 18th with our K-2. The flyer is attached to your email, posted in our front office, and posted on our page. It has important information about the end of year awards and times.

I hope everyone has a wonderful evening and GO PANTHERS!
