Meals on Wheels meal sites will be closed tomorrow, Friday, September 27 due to the inclement weather.

As our Gaston County Office of Emergency Management and Fire Services continues to monitor the latest on Hurricane Helene, the Manager’s Office has made the decision to make Friday a remote work day for all non-essential personnel.

County offices will be closed Friday, September 27.

Please continue to monitor our social media for updates on weather conditions throughout the storm.

The church has hosted the Belmont meal site for many, many years. We are extremely grateful for their love & support over the years and will miss them greatly as we move onto another site location. ❤️🙏

We will miss Shannon, our freezer truck delivery driver! She was a bright light to our participants all over the county. They enjoyed weekly visits from her as she delivered their frozen meals. We wish you well in your new venture!🙏❤️👏

Happy Thanksgiving! A special thank you to retired Gaston County Police Assistant Chief Steve Jentsch and his son, Thomas for volunteering to deliver Thanksgiving Meals on Thanksgiving Day to some of our Gastonia participants. Their kindness in word and deed brings joy to the participants they serve every year at Thanksgiving. We are grateful for our annual partnership with Bethesda Methodist and other area churches who provide meals for our participants throughout the county.
