Great show at the Carter Family Fold this weekend!

We’re less than one week away from Appalachia Rising with the Tim O'Brien Band and Leftover Biscuits at the Carter Family Fold! 🪕🎻🎶 The show is Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 7:30. This special annual event brings together two sides of mountain music for an evening that celebrates the heart of our region. ❤️

Appalachia Rising 2026 pairs the Grammy‑winning bluegrass music of the Tim O’Brien Band with the beloved old‑time sound of Leftover Biscuits for a night that showcases the best of Appalachian music.

Tickets are available at the door and online on our website. All tickets are general admission. Adult tickets are $35. Online tickets sales are subject to a convenience fee. The Carter Family Fold is located at 3449 A P Carter Hwy, Hiltons, VA 24258.

America250 events are heating up 🔥 In addition to our Scott County250 event being held Friday, July 3rd, there are two other major community events being held in the next two weeks, celebrating Independence Day AND America250! The Hiltons Community will kick things off next weekend with community farm stands, tons of live music, and kids activities!

On July 4th, Town of Dungannon Virginia will hold its annual 4th of July celebration, with the beloved parade, live music, fireworks, and more!

We hope to see Scott County show out at all of our celebrations 🇺🇸

🏃 Lace up your running shoes and join us for the Blue Devil Dash 5k, as part of the Scott County250 July 3rd celebration 🇺🇸

The race will begin at Legion Field at 8 am on July 3rd, and run through the town of Gate City. It will be the official kickoff to our celebration! We’ve got prizes for every category 🏆

🗓️ Next weekend at Stoney Creek Park (new Devil’s Bathtub parking area), take part in Jeepin’ at the Tub for an AMAZING cause ❤️ Come out for a fun-filled day to support Scott County Strong pediatric cancer patients. You’ll find kids activities, food trucks, vendors, and more! And the best part is that all proceeds go to support local pediatric cancer patients and their families 🫶
