Today is the last day of school before summer! Our students are going to be buzzing with excitement throughout the halls, but we also know that today is our last day with the sounds of those little pandas in our Buckland hallways! There will be a range of emotions at Buckland today, and that’s ok!

We are all going to close our Buckland chapters and begin preparing for these Buckland Pandas to become Gatesville Dragons and T.S. Cooper Wildcats! ❤️

New adventures await, and although there will be sadness today, we are ready! Ready to see what lies ahead in our next adventures!

In the wise words of Winnie the Pooh, “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard…”

Now it is time for us to “sprinkle a little panda” while remembering to “always be a panda! ❤️🐼❤️

History...we all know that Buckland's history is deeply rooted. We had the pleasure of welcoming Nellie S. Rountree, 93 years old, back to visit Buckland last week! Mrs. Rountree was in the first graduating class from Buckland High School as part of the class of 1952. What an amazing opportunity to welcome her back to Buckland!

There are many, many people whom you think of when you think about Buckland, for many different reasons. One of those people is pictured here, Mrs. Lilley...she is a constant at Buckland and has been for many years. She greets everyone each morning with a smile. She knows who you are and who you are coming to pick up; if she doesn't, it will only take a few minutes, and she will have it all figured out. She gives out magic peppermints when pandas have scratchy throats, and she answers the phones faster than you can blink.

Senior walk hit a little differently this year, and this picture was captured that day. Her words were, "...all my Buckland babies..." and then she gave each one a hug. ❤🐼❤
