𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐟𝐭!

Last night, deputies within our patrol division began to investigate the theft and damage to the stop signs near Carters Rd and Punch Bowl Rd.

A juvenile suspect was quickly identified and questioned. During this time, the deputies were able to recover one stop sign, along with another street sign. Charges are forthcoming at the conclusion of this investigation.

Remember, this is not only extremely dangerous, but illegal. The signs are there to warn motorists of upcoming intersections and other traffic deviations.

(a) No person shall willfully deface, damage, knock down or remove any sign posted as provided in G.S. 136-26 or G.S. 136-30.

(b) No person, without just cause or excuse, shall have in his possession any highway sign as provided in G.S. 136-26 or G.S. 136-30.

If you remove a sign, you can be criminally charged as well as held civilly liable in the event a collision occurs!

𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲!

Today, we took the time to recognize the work and dedication of our fantastic secretary, Nicole. We’re a day late in doing so because you didn’t remind us, tighten up! (Kidding)

All jokes aside, Nicole is always behind the scenes ensuring that we’re performing our administrative tasks correctly and in a timely manner. She is also responsible for handling all of the concealed carry permits that are issued by our office. This doesn’t even scratch the surface of her daily responsibilities!

Nicole, you are an integral part of our team and we appreciate all you do for us! Thank you!
