𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀-𝗚𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝟵𝟭𝟭 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹!

Today, Sheriff Campbell had the opportunity to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new and improved Perquimans-Gates 911 Center!

Using funds provided by the state, the old center was able to be reimagined into a more modern and updated facility!

These updates ensure that the 911 Telecommunicators have a well outfitted center to support our first responders and you! We appreciate all you guys do for our community and for our responders daily!

We also extend a special shoutout to Perquimans County Emergency Management Director Jonathan Nixon for seeing that this project was completed!

Congratulations!

𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢-𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧!

On June 6th, our agency along with multiple local partners conducted a drivers license checking station on US 13.

At the conclusion of the event, 57 citations were written, 5 arrests were made, 6 narcotic offenses were charged, and 40+ warnings were given.

We encourage all drivers operating a motor vehicle to do so with total attention to the law. You never know where we will be!

We extend a thanks to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, Chowan County Sheriff’s Office, Edenton Police Department, Bertie County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement (ALE), North Carolina State Highway Patrol, North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, North Carolina State Parks, and the North Carolina Health and Human Services Forensic Tests for Alcohol Branch (NCDHHS FTA), for their assistance in making this event possible!

These awesome photos were taken by Leigh.Boyce.Photography! Her link is In the comments! We greatly appreciate her strong work in capturing our event!
