🎓✨ The Hughes Unit celebrated the graduation of the Brothers Keepers program today, marking an important milestone for its participants.

A special thank you goes to Property Officer Raines and her daughter for the beautiful decorations that helped make the event memorable for everyone in attendance. Their hard work and dedication added a special touch to the celebration. 🌟

During the ceremony, several graduates shared heartfelt testimonies about their personal growth, experiences, and the positive impact the program has had on their lives. Participants also showcased their creativity and talent through original rap performances written and performed by fellow graduates. 🎶

This graduation was especially meaningful as it was the first G5 Brothers Keepers graduation. We are hopeful that the lessons learned, relationships built, and skills developed through the program will continue to guide these individuals toward future success. 🙌

One of the most touching moments of the day was seeing the graduates present gifts to staff members as a token of appreciation for their support, encouragement, and commitment throughout the program. 💙

The Alfred D. Hughes Unit was honored to host this special event for the inmates.

On March 22, Jehovah’s Witnesses presented a special assembly entitled “Worship With Spirit and Truth,” based on Jesus’ words recorded at John 4:24. ✨

More than 40 Hughes inmates attended, joined by over 70 volunteers who helped make the day both encouraging and meaningful. 🤝📖

The program featured practical, Bible-based instruction on topics including:

• “Worship With Spirit: When Coping With Discouragement” 💛

• “How We Make the Truth Manifest” ✨

• “How Can We Know the Difference Between Right and Wrong?” ✔️

• “Worship With Truth in a Divided World” 🌍

• “Buy Truth and Never Sell It” 🕊️📘

A memorable highlight of the assembly was the discourse “The Meaning of Your Baptism,” which was followed by the joyful baptism of three residents. 🤍

The event provided spiritual encouragement, strengthened faith, and left a lasting positive impact on all in attendance. 🌟

This Memorial Day, we gathered to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. 🇺🇸🕊️

The ceremony included the dedication of a new flagpole in our garden, creating a lasting space for reflection and remembrance. 🏳️✨

We are grateful to everyone who helped make this event meaningful and respectful. 🙏🇺🇸

🏀🤝 Alfred D. Hughes Unit had the privilege of hosting students from Harvard and Yale for a friendly basketball game with our inmates.

⛹️‍♂️ Events like these create meaningful opportunities for connection, teamwork, and positive engagement. Through sports, participants from different backgrounds came together to build mutual respect, foster understanding, and share an experience centered on sportsmanship and community. 🌟

👏 We appreciate the students for taking the time to visit and participate, and we thank everyone who helped make this event a success.

🎓✨ Mind, Body & Soul (MBS) Medium Custody Graduation – May 17, 2026 ✨🎓

The Alfred D. Hughes Unit proudly hosted the Mind, Body & Soul (MBS) Medium Custody Graduation, recognizing 21 graduates for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to overcoming challenges through rehabilitation and personal growth.

This achievement reflects the hard work and determination of the participants as they continue striving toward positive change and success.

A special thank you to the facilitators, Life Coaches, CVSD, and Major Hatchett for their continued mentorship, encouragement, and support in making this program meaningful and impactful.
