On Saturday, August 22nd, the Gautier Friends of the Library hosted an extremely successful on-site book sale fundraiser which will help fund future library activities, including the Gautier Library's annual FREE Fall-o-ween Festival to be held from 10am-2pm on Halloween Day, Saturday, October 31st...

The FREE Halloween Festival will include games, a costume contest, and of course a variety of trick-or-treat goodies!!!

BINGO NIGHT @ ANTONIO'S PIZZERIA

On the 1st Tuesday of every month Antonio's Pizzeria of Gautier hosts a Bingo Night that is conducted by the Gautier Library and sponsored by the Gautier Friends of the Library, Spanish Trail Bowling Lanes, Killer Crab, Delo's Coffee, Narb's Gaming, & Antonio's Pizzeria...tonight, August 4th, there was a special gift certificate prize donated by Cajun Car Wash as well...

As per his usual, Santa IV and Herman Austin, Sr, Santa's personal photographer, were present to help support the event by posing for photos & providing FREE event photos, which are included here for free sharing & copying...enjoy!!!

NOTICE - TRIVIA NIGHT'S are on the LAST TUESDAY of every month at Antonio's Pizzeria...come out and join in the camaraderie and competition as teams pit their trivia skills against one another for free gift cards and more!!!

UPCOMING BOOK SALE EVENT - August 22 @ Gautier Public Library - Kathleen McIlwain

NOW ACCEPTING BOOK DONATIONS FOR OUR BOOK SALE!!!

NOTE: To allow time for the Gautier Library staff & volunteers to prepare book display tables for our upcoming book sale, please drop off books by Thursday, August 20th...THANKS!!!

On Saturday, August 22nd, the Gautier Friends of the Library will conduct an on-site fundraising book sale from 10am-3pm inside the Gautier Library...all donations collected will be utilized to fund future Gautier Library events and activities, including the library's annual Fall-o-ween Festival to be held on Halloween Day, October 31st!!!

PS - Santa Claus IV, the USA Gulf Coast Toys for Tots Santa has volunteered to help with the book sale & is scheduled to be on-site from Noon-3pm, so come on out and get a FREE photo with Santa wearing his newly presented Biloxi Shuckers Christmas-in-July baseball jersey AND a great deal on books, DVD's & much more!!!

JULY'S TRIVIA NIGHT @ ANTONIO'S PIZZERIA OF GAUTIER, MS

On Tuesday, July 28th...the LAST TUESDAY of the month...the Gautier Library & Antonio's Pizzeria of Gautier, MS, hosted their Monthly Trivia Night which is sponsored by the Gautier Friends of the Library, Spanish Trail Bowling Lanes, Garden House Brew Co, and Antonio's Pizzeria...

The restaurant was full, everyone's attitude was confident, and Bob, The Trivia Man's, trivia questions garnered some interesting responses...lol...as always!!!

NOTE: Everyone is invited to come out next week, on the 1st Monday of August, when Antonio's & the Gautier Library will conducting their monthly Bingo Night...it's FREE to play & prizes will be presented to all winners!!!

Oh, yes...Santa Claus IV & Herman Austin, Sr, were on hand to help support the event and capture photos that are being posted here for free copying & sharing...enjoy!!!

SHARK AWARENESS DAY - PHOTO ALBUM #2 - Saturday, July 18, 2026 @ Gautier Public Library - Kathleen McIlwain

The Mississippi Aquarium of Gulfport, MS, brought a LIVE SHARK to the Gautier Library in Gautier, MS, to help celebrate..."Shark Awareness Day"...Two sessions allowed up to 100 people to learn about sharks AND EVEN PET A LIVE ONE!!! The event was sponsored by the Friends of the Gautier Library and the Gautier Library staff who provided free door prizes & a Shark-inspired Gift Basket that's being raffled off with the winner to be announced at the end of July!!!

Santa IV...who also happens to be President of the Gautier Friends of the Library...helped welcome guests who were assisted by several other GFotL volunteers (most notably Sandy L & Pat P) in making shark fin headbands and more...

Herman Austin, Sr, also a GFotL volunteer and Santa IV's personal photographer, dashed back and forth throughout the event capturing photos of the shark education seminars, crafting the shark fin headbands, images of everyone brave enough to pet a shark, and even a few photos with guests & Santa...all images posted here are able to be copied & shared FOR FREE...enjoy!!!

SANTA IV'S CHRISTMAS-IN-JULY STORYTIME WAS "GRINCH-Y"!!!

On Thursday, July 9th, Santa IV visited the library in Gautier, MS, for his annual Christmas-in-July Storytime event and chose to honor Dr Seuss's favorite green Christmas character...THE GRINCH!!!

And, yes, Santa even wore a shirt honoring one of the Grinch's most iconic thoughts about Christmas..."Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas means a little bit more!"

During this storytime event Santa IV read the 3rd & final Grinch book in the 3 book series..."How the Grinch Lost Christmas!"...he also posed for photos and provided everyone with free candy canes too!!!

As always, Herman Austin, Sr, Santa IV's personal photographer, was present to capture photos which can be copied & shared FOR FREE...ENJOY!!!

MONTHLY BINGO NIGHT @ ANTONIO'S PIZZERIA, GAUTIER, MS...

The Gautier Friends of the Library sponsored their inaugural Bingo Night @ Antonio's Pizzeria of Gautier on Tuesday, July 7th to a packed house of bingo enthusiasts!!!

Additional sponsors for the event included Antonio's Pizzeria, Delo's Coffee, Killer Crab Seafood, & Narb's Gaming...

NOTE: This will be a monthly event to occur AT 6:30PM on the 1ST TUESDAY OF EVERY MONTH!!!

2) CHRISTMAS-IN-JULY STORYTIME WITH SANTA IV - 10am Thursday, July 9th...join Santa IV, a 4th generation Santa, for an interactive storytime experience...the featured book he'll be reading is the 3rd and final book in Dr. Seuss's Grinch book series entitled, "How the Grinch Lost Christmas"...BOOK INSIGHT: A year has passed since the Grinch stole Christmas from Who-ville. Now eager to prove to the Whos that his heart has grown to LOVE the holiday, the Grinch devises a plan to win Who-ville's Christmas Crown by making the largest, most spectacular Christmas tree the Whos have ever seen! But when things don't go as planned, the Grinch's heart turns ice cold, and he threatens to leave Who-ville for good...until one small, special Who reminds him that Christmas is NOT about winning...FYI - Enjoy FREE snacks, beverages & photos with Santa IV in Summer garb!!!

3) SHARK AWARENESS DAY - RESERVE YOUR SPOT NOW TO ATTEND ONE OF 2 INTERACTIVE SESSIONS...SESSION 1: 11am, Saturday, July 18th...SESSION 2: 12:30pm, Saturday, July 18th...FYI - The Mississippi Aquarium will be displaying one of their live sharks INSIDE THE GAUTIER LIBRARY AND, if the shark cooperates, then it may even be possible for guests to actually PET THE SHARK!!! NOTE: THIS IS A FREE EVENT BUT IT REQUIRES YOU TO MAKE ADVANCE RESERVATIONS!!! The Friends of the Gautier Library are sponsoring the event, which will also include the opportunity to win their Shark Raffle Basket (see image below)...the basket contains two books about sharks, bubbles, a shark card game, and a shark puzzle with sea creatures...raffle donation tickets are priced at $2 for one ticket and $5 for three tickets, with all the raffle donation proceeds funding this live, interactive event!!!

Santa IV made an appearance on WXXV-TV 25 today, Thursday, July 2nd, to help promote several upcoming events at the Gautier Public Library in Gautier, Mississippi, including...Christmas-in-July at 10am on Thursday, July 9th, and Shark Awareness Day on Saturday, July 18th (2 sessions available)...appearing with Santa was Gautier Public Library Branch Librarian, Michelle McCartney...
