To our community. Please don't take this the wrong way, but the Fire Department is not the town dump. We do not appreciate having household trash and furniture dumped behind our station. Now we are responsible for disposal of this trash.

Please be on notice that the fire department is not a disposal site. Anyone caught dumping their crap behind our station will have charges filed against them for illegal dumping. This includes yard waste. We do have cameras around the station, so if you are caught dumping again the sheriff will be contacted for a report.

We take pride in our community and our station. Our station is our home away from home when we are out protecting our community. We did not want to have to resort to posting this, but the dumping has gotten out of hand. Please show us some consideration by not dumping at our station any more. If you were the one that dumped the mattresses, come and get them and nothing more will be said.

As a fire department, we do not burn trash in the town limits. We don't want to cause breathing problems for our residents. Plus, it is illegal to burn these items.

Again, please no dumping at the fire station. Thank you.

So just want to post some pics to make other departments jealous a little bit! Did y’all have a fire dog in a fire truck today? We did! We had an amazing day getting trucks ready for Springer’s Annual Parade, celebrated our December birthdays, and just reflect on the growth of your Gene Autry Volunteer Fire Department!

P.S. Think we could just make a calendar with just Miss Perty? Haha

Your Local Volunteer Firefighters want to say Happy Thanksgiving! And wanted to spread some laughs on when and when not to call for an emergency… Don’t know about yall but I would fight grandpa for eating all the deviled eggs! 🤣🤣

We want to thank everyone who came out to see us last night at the carnival. We had an awesome time, and hope that you did too. We look forward to doing it again next year. So mark your calendar, we already have it scheduled for October 24, 2026. See you then!

There is a power outage in the Gene Autry area that is unfortunately affecting Tumbleweed Hall. Estimated restoration time is 4:30pm. We are monitoring the situation and will make the determination on a cancellation if necessary between 5 and 5:30pm. We are sorry for this inconvenience, but this is out of our control. We hope to have power restored before the carnival begins because we look forward to seeing our community.

We are gearing up for our annual Halloween Carnival. Bring the kids and enjoy some time with us.
