🏇 aaaaand they're off! Today is the day! Gates open at 9 am, events begin at 10 am.

Horse races, dog competitions, free pony rides, sheep and duck herding demos, petting zoo and agritourism tent courtesy of County Farm Bureau, shopping, and more!!

Ever wonder what it would look like for the Budweiser horses to run as fast as they can? Well, get ready for the “heavy horse” race this Saturday at the Genesee Valley Hunt Races!
 
When the races began, local farmers raced in a “Mule and Work Horse” race, sometimes ridden ba****ck if a farmer had no saddle. Today, the tradition continues with a “Heavy Horse” race for draft breeds and draft crosses. At ~2000 lbs these lumbering giants aren’t nearly as fast as the pros but wow are they powerful.
