The first Millikin PTA meeting of the 2022-2023 school year will be on September 6 in the Millikin Cafeteria at 3:30. Hope to see you there! We are so thankful to the PTA for their support of our students and staff!

We hope our Millikin families are having a tremendous summer and can't wait to welcome students and parents back in a couple short weeks. Be on the lookout for a back to school newsletter sent to your email at the end of the week.

We are fortunate to have amazing leadership within our PTA. Please see this welcome message below from them:

Who’s ready for Back To School 2022-23? The PTA is gearing up to help provide teachers and students with the tools they need to have a fantastic school year!

Curious what the PTA provides? Items include: a Millikin t-shirt for every student and staff, student planners, writing journals, teacher reimbursements for extra classroom items, Scholastic Book Fairs, and fundraising just to name a few.

How can you help? Become a PTA member and share in our efforts to continue providing the above and possibly more to our students and staff! PTA is as big or small of a commitment as you want it to be. We will have a monthly meeting that all are welcome to attend to share ideas at. The 2022-23 meeting dates will be posted soon. Adult volunteers are always needed to help carry out PTA events throughout the year.

Memberships are either single member $6.00 or family (2 or more adults) $10. You can register with your students District registration, using our MemberHub link below, or by filling out and returning the paper copy (on the Geneseo Millikin PTA age saved under files).

We look forward to making this the best school year yet! Thank you for your continued support of our students and staff through your involvement in the Millikin PTA.

We are so excited to host the Saturday at our School event on May 14 from 11-2. Registration forms were likely sent home last week. Event RSVP's are due by Wednesday, May 4th to ensure we can have the food items covered.

If you are missing your copy of the registration packet you can find a pdf version under the files tab of this Millikin PTA page.
Please share this event with other Millikin Families. It will be a fun day and we don't want anyone to miss out by not knowing it was happening.

*Clarification: You are not required to stay from 11 AM to 2 PM. You can come and leave at a time that works best for your family. However if you want to stay and play the whole time, you are welcome to!

Thank you for your help in making this event a fun time for our students and getting us closer to the new inclusive play equipment!

Millikin PTA is hosting a blood drive with Impact Life of the Quad Cities on Tuesday, March 29 from 3:30-7 PM. The drive will be collecting whole blood and double red units during the event. Appointments are suggested as walk-ins may not be accepted on the date of the drive. Summer Opportunities for Youth Baseball and Softball- A message from the coordinator:

Registration is now open at http://gybs.org/site/ and early registration ends next Friday, March 19th. Practice is set to begin around mid-April with games in May & June. We really hope to get back to growing our youth program in the community this year as we had substantial growth prior to 2020.
