Cottages in the Woods Cottages in the Woods presents charming Scandinavian cottages opened to the public a few times a year "Historic Cottage Walks" in June.

Small group tours of cottages led by Cottage owners, sharing the history and lovely grounds of our peaceful park. "Cottages of the Woods" in October visit charming cottages filled with gifts, folk art, folklore, ethnic foods, bakery, with Scandinavian charm.

Come to the Cottage Walks at Good Templar Park in Geneva IL. Join us on June 27 & 28, 2026, 10-4 both days. Enjoy docent lead history tours and view 6 of our tiny cottages. Enter at the 528 East Side Dr entrance for free parking. Entrance fee is $10.00, kids 12 and under are free! Cross over the white bridge and experience the calm and serenity under a canopy of old oak trees. The cottage side of the park is only open to the public 2 times a year.......we look forward to inviting you in!

Save the date of Sat./Sun. June 27th & 28th to come and tour 6 little seasonal cottages at Good Templar Park Geneva, IL during the city of Geneva's Swedish Days.
$10 a person, kids under 12 free.

Friends of the Viking Ship will have a separate tour of the ship on the park's grounds with a separate entrance fee.
SHARE, bring a loved one, friend or a gaggle of girlfriends!

Note: This is our Summer historic walk with a tour guide through 6 cottages, NOT our Fall event, Cottage in the Woods Fall Festival in October with artists & vendors selling their unique creations.

Cottage Walks at Good Templar Park in Geneva IL are June 27 & 28, 2026. Open 10-4 both days. Enter at the 528 East Side Dr Entrance for free parking. Entrance fee is $10.00, kids 12 and under are free. You will cross over the white bridge and enter our beautiful tiny cottage community. A park member will take you into 6 cottages, while giving a history of the park. Come and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with us while learning our rich history!
