The future of is incredibly bright here in Kane County! 💡

Tech professionals from all over the region gathered for a full day of networking, collaborating, and diving into the future of education. With AI taking the spotlight this year, attendees tackled a "District AI Challenge," brainstorming how to bring next-generation tools back to their home districts to automate workflows and streamline school operations.

From deep dives into cybersecurity and data compliance, to hands-on sessions and troubleshooting networks, the spirit of collaboration was truly inspiring. We even had some fun using AI to code a custom "Tech Bash" game!

Thank you to our expert presenters, all attendees, and everyone who helped make a massive success. We are already looking forward to next year!

Last week, educators and school leaders came together for a two-day Fundamentals of Restorative Practices, grounded in the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP) framework.

Participants explored the philosophy and research behind restorative approaches — learning to use affective statements, facilitate restorative circles, and lead restorative conferences. They left with concrete tools, a shared language, and a plan to build more accountable, inclusive, and connected school communities.

Earlier this week, staff threw an 8th birthday celebration for our furry friend, Emmy Jonak, complete with her own cake, a festive dress, and plenty of smiles from the team.

Emmy’s visits always bring extra joy and warmth to the ROE, reminding us how small moments can brighten our days.
