Summer Reading begins TOMORROW at the library! Stop in anytime to register for your log books, sign up for events, and check out all of the amazing raffle prizes we have this year!

🗓 This week we start off with:
Tuesday, 6/2 - Mini Salsa Garden planting with 4H at 2:00 pm in the Event Room. Ages 5-12
Wednesday, 6/3 - Story Time at the Toddler Garden in Chamberlain Park
Thursday, 6/4 - Infuse It! class at 6:00 pm in the Event Room. Ages 16+
Saturday, 6/6 - Kick-Off Party with Magic show, popcorn, popsicles, and other fun activities from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at 702 W Main Street

School is out and summer is here! We know everyone is fully absorbed with the sights and sounds of Genoa Days right now; but here at the library, we are excited about the start of summer reading in just a few days! Here is what you need to know 🙌🏼

📚 Summer Reading registration begins on Monday, June 1st at the library.
🗓 Events are now listed on our website calendar.
You may begin registering for events on Monday 6/1 by calling the library at (815) 784-2627.

TODAY is your last opportunity to stop in and pick up your holds, print documents, etc. before we close at NOON for the rest of the week. The library drop box will be locked at Noon and will remain locked during Genoa Days until we reopen 6/01. MATERIALS ARE NOT DUE DURING THIS TIME.

The library will be closed today as we take time to remember and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

We will reopen Tuesday, May 26th at 9:00 am.

As we begin the holiday weekend that blends into Genoa Days, here is the breakdown of library hours for this week:

Saturday - Open 10 am-2 pm
Sunday, May 24 - Closed
Monday, May 25 - Closed for Memorial Day
Tuesday, May 26 - Open 9 am-7 pm
Wednesday, May 27 - Open 9 am-Noon
Thursday, May 28 - Closed
Saturday, May 30 - Closed

The library drop box will be locked on Wednesday, 5/27 at Noon and will remain locked during Genoa Days until we reopen 6/01. No items will be due during this time.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday, June 1st for our first day of summer reading!
