The railroad is working on the tracks on S Chestnut Street. That section of the road will be closed until further notice.

It is illegal to place political signs in the public right-of-way, which includes intersections, shoulders, and areas between sidewalks and streets. These areas are for traffic, utility, or safety purposes. Please move any signs you may have in these areas or they will be subject to removal by the city by the end of the week.

Water Update:

Residents can water lawns and gardens.

Water is safe to drink. We are chlorinating but it is testing well below the recommended level. It is not necessary to boil your water.

UPDATE
Residents can resume using water. We ask that you NOT water your lawn or garden for the meantime. Water will have to be chlorinated for a short while. There is still bottled water on hand that can be picked up between 7:00 - 8:00 tonight and during business hours. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter. We would also like to thank all state, county, and local officials for all of your help during this emergency.
