Yesterday, the Genola Fire Department responded to assist with the Big Mountain Fire, sending two brush trucks and one water tender to support firefighting operations.

Our water tender supplied water in support of air operations, while our brush trucks worked alongside crews from other agencies to hold the fire to a ridgeline and prevent further spread.

Wording has been changed so that the possession of Fireworks is legal. The ban on discharging of Fireworks inside of Genola Town limits is still in effect.

At this year’s Genola Town celebration, we are going to show off our new 2026 Rosenbauer Fire Engine after the parade, in town park. We plan on having the new and old Engines right there in the park for all to see. We also plan on having some give aways for young and old. A skill will be involved to win these, so warm up that throwing arm. As a highlight we have a very limited number of the 250th USA Anniversary challenge coins to give away also.
