Evening Live Oak neighbors,
Wanted to extend our gratitude to George West Isd for opening their gym facility for Red Cross Shelter during our flood event. Also to Three Rivers Isd for granting us the use of their facilities as a overflow shelter just in case we needed it.
Special thanks to Superintendent Alvarado (GW) & Superintendent Dragon(TR) for their unwavering support during our time of need.
We truly have a great community and this drives that point home.

Good afternoon Live Oak county neighbors, I wanted to take a moment to thank our Volunteer Fire departments with Three Rivers and George West for their help during our very recent disaster declaration. Also Our Sheriff's department and area DPS along with Texas parks /wild life Game Wardens. These folks worked throughout the nights and Helped monitor the rising water threats.
I would also like to acknowledge our community for not panicking or creating dangerous situations.
Our commitment to protect the county community is made achievable by our community

🌤️ GOOD MORNING, LIVE OAK COUNTY

River levels throughout Live Oak County are now below major flood stage, and floodwaters continue to go down. Conditions are improving, but some low-lying areas may remain flooded for several more days.

💧 Three Rivers is still under a boil-water notice. Bottled-water distribution continues today at Three Rivers City Hall .

Please keep using bottled water or properly boiled tap water for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing your teeth and preparing baby formula until the City lifts the notice.

☀️ Hot and humid weather continues today. Drink plenty of water, take breaks in the shade or air conditioning and check on neighbors who may need help.

🌙 EVENING UPDATE — THREE RIVERS & LIVE OAK COUNTY

⚠️ Three Rivers is still under a boil-water notice. Please keep using bottled water or properly boiled tap water for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing your teeth and preparing baby formula. Continue doing so until the City says the notice has been lifted.

💧 Bottled-water pickup at Three Rivers City Hall will stop for the night at 6:00 p.m. and begin again tomorrow, August 5, at 9:00 a.m. The Texas Military Department is helping with water distribution.

Water is available for Three Rivers residents while supplies last. Please bring a photo ID and proof that you live in Three Rivers, as shown on the flyer. City of Three Rivers, Texas

🌊 Floodwaters continue to go down slowly, and there is more good news tonight:

✅ CR 436 in Simmons has reopened
✅ CR 438 in Simmons has reopened
✅ The shelter at Three Rivers Junior High School is now closed

Some low-lying and downstream areas may stay flooded for several more days. Please stay careful around flooded areas and never drive through floodwater.

🌊 AFTERNOON FLOOD UPDATE

Although the Nueces River remains at major flood stage, current projections indicate that affected locations are not expected to see water rise above the levels already observed from this crest.

Floodwaters are slowly receding, but some areas—especially in downstream portions of the county—may remain flooded for several days.

🚧 ROAD STATUS — NO CHANGES

The following roads remain closed:

🔴 CR 436 — Simmons
🔴 CR 438 — Simmons
🔴 CR 369 — George West
🔴 CR 365 — Gamble Gully
🔴 River Creek Acres — Subdivision
🔴 CR 203 — Three Rivers
🔴 Airport Road — Boat Ramp
🔴 CR 380 — George West

Please continue to obey closures and never attempt to drive through floodwater. Roads will reopen after conditions have been inspected and determined safe.

🌤️ GOOD MORNING, LIVE OAK COUNTY

Floodwaters continue to recede slowly across Live Oak County, and the crest has now reached Lake Corpus Christi. Although conditions are improving, water remains in several low-lying areas and may take multiple days to fully drain.

• Airport Road at the boat ramp

🌊 Continue using caution around rivers, creeks, parks and other flood-affected areas. Keep children and pets away from floodwater, which may contain debris, contaminants, wildlife and other hidden hazards.

☀️ Dangerous heat remains a concern today. Stay hydrated, limit strenuous outdoor activity, take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning and never leave children or pets inside a vehicle.

Continue monitoring official Live Oak County channels for verified information. Conditions are improving, but flood-related hazards remain.

Good morning Live Oak County neighbors The City of Three Rivers has a Boil Water Notice active. The city is working with TECQ and Texas Department of Emergency Management to work through the problem.

🎥 EVENING UPDATE FROM LIVE OAK COUNTY JUDGE JAMES LISKA

During another aerial survey today, Judge Liska observed that the crest appears to be around the Antelope Road area.

While the crest may have passed some communities, the flood threat is not over. Water continues to move slowly through the county, and flooding may remain in low-lying areas, neighborhoods and roadways for several more days.

🚧 Continue to obey all road closures and barricades. Never attempt to drive through floodwater—even if the water appears shallow or conditions seem to be improving.
