This morning, WC ESD 7 crews were dispatched to a residential structure fire in Florence.

Upon Arrival, crews found a single story residential structure with active fire coming from the front of the house. A small grassfire beside the house was also found. District 7 assumed command and assigned E-72 to Fire Attack.

E-72 rapidly deployed a Hose line and began fire attack from the exterior, Knocking a majority of the fire down. Crews then transitioned into the structure and began overhaul.

Thanks to the rapid response of our crews, the fire was stopped before being able to consume the entire house.

Great work B-Shift!

πŸ”₯ UNAUTHORIZED BURN EXTINGUISHED πŸ”₯

This morning, WCESD 7 crews were dispatched to a reported grass fire near CR 217. Upon arrival, crews found a large unauthorized controlled burn.

Crews quickly extinguished the fires with assistance from N/E Burnet County Fire Department.

🚫 The Williamson County Burn Ban remains in effect.

A common misconception is that recent rainfall makes it okay to burn. It does not. Even if your property received rain the night before, outdoor burning is still prohibited while the Burn Ban is in effect.

Please help us prevent unnecessary fires and keep our community and first responders safe. If the Burn Ban is on, the burn pile stays off. πŸ”₯🚫

πŸ”₯ VERY HIGH FIRE DANGER TODAY πŸ”₯

Williamson County is under Very High Fire Danger today, with High Fire Danger expected tomorrow.

With dry vegetation and elevated fire conditions, even a small spark can quickly become a fast-moving grass fire.

🚫 Avoid outdoor burning
⛓️ Be cautious with equipment that may create sparks
🚬 Properly dispose of smoking materials
πŸš— Never park or drive over tall, dry grass

Please use extra caution and help us prevent the next wildfire before it starts!
