As a reminder, there are levies on the ballot in Brown County for the 2026 May election. If you want to find out if there is a levy on the ballot where you live, and an estimate of how much it may cost, please check out our real estate search website at https://realestate.browncountyauditor.org/
Once you are at the website, click on “Property Search” on the top of the page. If searching on a smart phone, please go to the drop-down menu and click on “Property Search.” Once you have found your property on the website you can then see an estimate of the cost of the levy. These cost estimates should be considered neither an endorsement nor an opposition to any particular proposed tax levy.

THE DEADLINE FOR CAUV IS MONDAY, MARCH 2, 2026.
This Monday is the deadline for renewing or enrolling your property in CAUV. We still have over 400 renewals out. NOW is the time! Please check with your friends and neighbors to see if they have renewed. Do not take a chance on losing this savings. State law requires us to receive a completed form each year in order to keep you in the program. Your form can be postmarked by March 2nd, scanned and emailed by March 2nd, or delivered in person.

Our office has been made aware of a fraudulent website imitating the Brown County Auditor’s real estate page. This issue is occurring statewide — county auditor websites across Ohio are being targeted by similar spoof sites.
Our ONLY official real estate website is: https://realestate.browncountyauditor.org/
Residents are encouraged to double check URLs and ensure they are using the correct site when accessing property information. The County Auditor’s Association of Ohio is reaching out to CyberOhio and the Ohio Attorney General’s Office to address this issue.
