The 2026 Junior Police Academy application deadline has passed, and wow — the turnout has been AMAZING! 🎉

We’re excited to see so many future leaders ready to step up for a summer full of fun, teamwork, challenges, and maybe even a few surprises. 👀

If your application is still sitting on the kitchen counter, in a backpack, or “you were gonna do it later”… this is your sign! 😅

Our Junior Police Academy wouldn’t be the same without amazing volunteers like Arina!

Arina spends her time helping guide our cadets, cheering them on, and making sure they have an unforgettable experience every step of the way. But that’s not all—she’s also the camera behind the memories, capturing all the fun, hard work, and special moments throughout the academy! 📸

🚨 APPLICATIONS ARE OFFICIALLY OPEN for the 2026 Junior Police Academy! 🚨

If your student wants hands-on police demonstrations, teamwork challenges, leadership lessons, and a week full of unforgettable experiences, this is their chance!

📅 Dates: June 22nd - 26th 2026
🕚Times: 8:00am - 4:00pm
📍 Location: North Georgetown Elementary School (664 N Bedford St)

Starting today, your SROs have officially been reassigned to the elite Donut Recovery Task Force. 🍩🚔🔎🫆🍩

If your donuts go missing, we’re on the case! And we promise to taste test all of the recovered evidence….. to check for poisons of course!

Did someone say National SRO Day?!?

I’d like to give a special shoutout today to my partner against crime, SRO Repass!! 👮🏻

SRO Repass doesn’t get to hang around school as much as I do — mostly because she’s out there busy running an entire shift of our fellow police officers, like the boss that she is. Despite being crazy busy, she still makes time to connect with our kids, both in school and out! And boy do they love her!

SRO Repass shows up every shift with grit, heart, and just the right amount of sarcasm to get us all through the day. We’re so lucky to have her - our students, our department, and me especially. Happy National SRO Day to someone who makes a big impact, wherever she goes!
