Our Annual Food Truck Festival is coming up, thanks to a great partnership with Friends of Fred for gathering the trucks and helping host the large event!

Shout-out to this years sponsors Heritage Engineering and Temple And Temple Excavating.

Parking map will be sent out next week. Please work with our crew and be patient while trying to park at this event.

Big change this year is that everything will be located within the ballpark fence at Georgetown Park and not along Lois Lane.

The bathrooms at Ashley Mariah Memorial Park are now reopened.

Thank you for your patience as we worked on getting them fixed.

New doors will be added next week but we wanted to get them open for you so that you can enjoy our park!

GEORGETOWN — Fifteen sectional basketball championships won. Four cross-country championship wins. A two-time Hall-of-Fame inductee. One basketball court named after him.

We had a proclamation naming today Joe Hinton Day and added a new sign on SR 64 on both the east and west sides of Town.

Town of Georgetown Invites Community to Welcome Sign Unveiling Honoring Coach Joe Hinton

The Town of Georgetown invites residents, former players, friends, and community members to join in celebrating the legacy of Georgetown’s own Coach Joe Hinton during the unveiling of a new welcome sign dedicated in his honor.

The unveiling ceremony will take place on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM at:

1054 Copperfield Drive
Georgetown, Indiana
In front of the Miles Newman State Farm Office

The new sign recognizes the tremendous impact Coach Joe Hinton had on Georgetown / Floyd Central athletics, students, and the community through his leadership, mentorship, and dedication to excellence.

Town officials encourage everyone to attend this special event as the community comes together to honor one of Georgetown’s most celebrated athletic coaches.
